About me

My name is Zoe Malone and I live in Darwin, NT. I’m passionate about regional communities and the importance of building strong connections and resilience.

What I love about living in regional Australia is the people and sense of community. Throughout my life I’ve been involved in many different community groups and reaped incredible benefits from their activities.

Over 5.8 million Australians volunteer. So I know I’m not the only one who sees this value.

For volunteers and community groups, improving governance, accountability and transparency are consistent themes. The demands on small volunteer-run community groups are becoming overwhelming, and making it harder to people to stay involved.
